Travel Video: Indochina 2014

Wednesday, April 02, 2014

Same same but different... It is a term used frequently in Indochina. Just a quick history refresher, Indochina comprises the territory of Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos. Why Indochina? Because the land is between India and China. It was later on called French Indochina when French colonizers in Vietnam began expanding their colony to neighboring countries.

Going back [to Same Same], You would normally hear this from a person trying to sell something. It means something kind of similar to that, but not exactly the same.

Example:
Question: "Is this a real North Face?"
Answer: " Yes Madam, same same but different."

We did not visit the entire Indochina though. It's impossible to do it in 8 days. We visited Cambodia and Vietnam, and you'll see the attractions from these two countries when you watch the video :) Sorry, I am too lazy to blog about the experience, so I'll let my video clips to the job for me! Hope you like it!
