Journey to Southern Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia (8 Day Trip Overview)

Saturday, April 20, 2013

My first out of country travel would have been to South Korea. I was really ecstatic when I got my Visa and I never expected my two travel buddies will be denied. It was a downpour nightmare. I can certainly travel solo but I don't think I can afford the cost. So instead of moping around and be depressed, we decided to go somewhere else. To some place that does not require a visa. :)
flight to Krabi, Thailand
I never listed Malaysia in my bucket list. The only reason why we headed to Malaysia is because there are no direct flights from Manila to Krabi, Thailand. My friend wanted to see the famous Maya Bay. She is a die-hard fan of Leonardo di Caprio. lol

Petronas Twin Towers
Our Cebu Pac tickets to South Korea are non refundable. We were also told we cannot use it as our travel fund. That sucks! We were left with no other choice but to buy a new ticket. We booked a roundtrip ticket from Clark to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It costs me an arm, a leg and also my sanity. I can't believe I paid so much for a plane ticket. I don't even have an intention of seeing the Petronas twin towers!  Good thing, we scored a promo ticket from KL to Krabi, Thailand. KL is supposedly just a transit point, but we decided to allot 4 days to explore the country. Here's a quick overview of our 8-day Peninsular Malaysia and Southern Thailand trip.

But it was not a walk in the park. Not everything went as planned. There were a series of unfortunate events, which I will talk about in detail on my next post. For now, I will share some my photos and videos from the trip. I'll blog about the experience soon. Watch out for that! ^__^
